A photo is taken of every item, which is entered into a database that customers can log into and see their items enter the warehouse in real time. The comprehensive moving service includes a detailed inventory of each client’s pieces and the location of where they go into the home. With about two-dozen designers making this request, Berg opened a state-of-the-art, 33,000-square foot warehouse in late 2020, for that purpose. Over the years, Berg’s designers were so pleased with his white glove service and his team’s professionalism that not only did they want him to deliver the valuable pieces, they also wanted to store them under his watch until they were ready to move. In many cases, that home was still under construction or not quite move-in ready so designers temporarily housed these items in storage facilities.
